Former India skipper, Virat Kohli, has jumped two places in the latest ICC ODI rankings, breaking into the top-five after a string of impressive performances against Sri Lanka.
Kohli scored two centuries and 283 runs in three matches, and now has 750 points, putting him within reach of second-place Rassie van der Dussen (766) and third-place Quinton de Kock (759).
Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam remains in the top spot with 887 points.
Kohli has the opportunity to further close the gap in the ongoing three-match ODI series against New Zealand. Additionally, Kohli’s team-mates Shubman Gill, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav have also moved up in the rankings, with Gill moving up 10 spots to 26th, Siraj climbing 15 spots to third on the list for ODI bowlers, and Kuldeep Yadav moving up seven spots to 21st in the latest rankings for bowlers.
